Pasuram 2.
Aennin Meediyan Aemperumaan
Mannum Vinnum Aellaam Udan Unda
Nan Kannan Kann Alladu ILLaiy Or Kaanae.
******************************************************
The Difference between the two pasurams is basically on visualising the concept of supreme as an Independant Embodiment..."Thuyar Aru Chudar"
Pervasive Ray of Hope against the Bondage.
In the other Pasuram
The Personality of Kannan is placed as Supreme who acts as the supreme being with universal vision that empowers Undu-Umizhdhal,Infact this pasuram aligns with the sermons of Krishna on his absolute status.
Two pasuram are distinct on Saguna and Nirguna Form of the creation. The Former speaks about Sharanaagati. While the later talks about oneness of the creation and the creator.

Alwar establishes the Parathvam of Narayanan in key ten pasurams of the entire Thiruvaimozhi. The emphasis and methodology and placement is different in each of the ten pasuram. Uyrvara is dipped in sowlabyam and Thinnan starts with the ability to protect.
ReplyDeleteIn Uyarvara , the Parathvam is sought to be established only through Vedic means without resorting to Ithihas or Puranas. In Thinnan veedu, the first two lines are thru Vedic means establishes Parathvam and the last two with the Vibavatharam in the form of Kannan. Kannan is indexed throuh Undu Umizhthal as you said by referencing to Yasotha episode.
Uyaravara is swaya anubhavam and Thinnan veedu is for others. Bhishma is also supposed to refer to Kannan in the context of Undu Umizhthal in the course of detailing to Yudishtra. Yennin methiyan emberuman refers to swamithvam.
Elaborate Vyagayanam of Periavachanpillai and Nampillai from their Eedus were explained by my swami.
This is what I learnt on My 31st.
